Formerly known as the Tres Utility Conference, CS Week has grown up and changed a lot over the years. Under the leadership of then CS Week CFO Jerry Duvall, Tres Utility Conference was transitioned about 1976 to become the CIS (Customer and Information Services) Conference when he brought the conference organization to Sherman, TX. Duvall and Rod Litke, current Chief Executive Officer, joined forces in 1989 and evolved the format from a one vendor solution-based forum to a generic, open, utility-focused conference.
A 501c3 nonprofit organization, CS Week is THE premiere utility education conference. It draws attendees primarily from large and small North American IOUs, municipalities and cooperatives. Beginning in 2016, the AGA (American Gas Association) and EEI (Edison Electric Institute) are combining their customer service conference with CS Week. Besides its multiple education venues and networking opportunities, CS Week boasts the largest customer service and IT exhibit hall in the industry. CS Week offers webinars and blogs year-round to showcase utility success stories, update attendees on marketplace trends and keep utility professionals connected.
Multiple advisory panels shape and focus Conference and year-round content to keep it aligned with the CS Week mission. Marking its 40th anniversary in 2016, CS Week continues to adapt and reflect industry times while holding fast to its core foundation to provide utility professionals at every level with valuable, current and applicable education and industry networking opportunities, with an emphasis on "expanding excellence in customer service."
