This
session examines the results of large scale outsourcing of
business processes and IT support. Oncor will present how
they outsourced six lines of business and where they have
proceeded in each of those areas after the conclusion of
the initial contracts. The presenter will review the
outcomes with regard to savings, service and performance
after a number of years experience with extensive
outsourcing.
Jim
Greer is SVP, Asset Management
and Engineering for Oncor Electric Delivery, responsible for developing
strategies, policies and plans that lead to the optimization of the value
and performance of electric delivery systems and related assets. His
organization directs asset investment strategy, performance management,
strategic sourcing, system planning, engineering and information
management activities to ensure a strategic fit with – and achievement of
– corporate objectives. Jim earned his BS in electrical engineering from
the University of Texas at Arlington and his MBA from Texas Christian
University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas, and a
member and past president of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
