“Women have a unique ability to manage complex projects using strong
interpersonal skills and savvy approaches to strategy and engagement
models,” said Lisa Dalesandro, vice president of utilities practice at
SAP. “Rapport building is important to women—in and out of the
workplace—so it will come as no surprise that they highly value their
professional networks.”
The 2011 event will build on prior years' enthusiastic attendees who
loved the idea of having a women-centric forum for utility professionals
to meet their peers, share information and establish a broader framework
for communication.
When describing NSTAR women’s network group that she cosponsors, Penni
McLean-Conner, VP of customer care at NSTAR, said, “There is so much
vigor and such power and opportunity associated with women’s
professional organizations.” She looks forward to Women in Utilities
growing and promoting professional women and their achievements in the
utilities.
