Downtown travel is a breeze on the VIA
Streetcar, an open air, authentic reproduction of a rail
streetcar which traveled the streets of San Antonio more
than 50 years ago. Four streetcar routes to downtown
locations, including the Alamo, the Spanish Governor’s
Palace, La Villita, Sunset Station, the Southwest School of
Art & Craft, the Institute of Texan Cultures, the King
William Historic District area & downtown shopping.
Convenient access to all routes from the downtown streetcar
station on Convention Plaza. Fare is $1.00. Convenient $3
One day Pass available at all VIA Information Centers. VIA’s
Downtown Information Center (260 Houston) is open six days a
week, Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm and Saturday 9am - 2pm.
VIA bus route 7 Funston Place is a new bus route that is
making stops at several destinations that represent the rich
tapestry of culture & history that make San Antonio unique
among American cities. Some of the locations visited by the
new bus route include:
